Eligibility Criteria

  • Scholarships are open to youth under 18 who are in need of financial aid and committed to improving mental healthin their communities.

  • Applicants must demonstrate an academic standing of an 80% average.

  • This opportunity empowers young leaders to:

    • Raise awareness about mental health.

    • Reduce stigma surrounding mental illness.

    • Advocate for better access to mental health resources.

Documents 

  • Proof of Academic Standing:

    • Upload a copy of your most recent transcript or report card showing your overall average.

    • Ensure your name and your school’s name are clearly visible.

    • A minimum 80% average is required.

    • The scholarship committee reserves the right to verify academic records with your school if necessary.

  • Reference Letter:

    • Submit one (1) reference letter from a non-family member such as a teacher, mentor, coach, or community leader.

    • The reference should address your character, leadership, and commitment to mental health advocacy or community service.

    • It should highlight qualities such as empathy, reliability, initiative, and resilience.

  • Proof of Financial Need:

    • Upload a copy of your parent(s)’ or guardian(s)’ most recent Notice of Assessment (NOA) from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

    • You may black out the Social Insurance Number (SIN).

    • This document will only be used to verify financial need and will be kept strictly confidential.

  • Parent/Guardian Consent Form:

    • A completed consent form signed by a parent or guardian is required for both applying and, if selected, accepting funds.

  • Additional Verification:

    • Proof of financial need may be requested again at the interview stage for shortlisted candidates.

Deadlines

  • Scholarship applications are open from February 1, 2026, to April 1, 2026.

  • Following the application period:

    • The Board of Directors will review all submissions.

    • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.

    • Final selections will be announced after the interview process.
